The Master Cleanse was first published, as far as we can tell, in a book called The Master Cleanser in 1976 by Stanley Burroughs. The Master Cleanse is also called the Lemonade Diet which you may be more familiar with from yoga classes or nutrionists.
The Master Cleanse is a process to detoxify the body.
It is a diet involving solely drinking a mixture of fresh lemon juice, cayenne pepper, and grade B maple syrup for nutrients. A saltwater drink designed to flush the body and a laxative tea are also recommened to be taken while on the Master Cleanse, but no solid food is consumed to allow the body to "flush out" the existing toxins. The typical amount of time spent on the Master Cleanse is ten days, although it is common for people to stay on the cleanse for longer periods of time.

Our philosophy is that each individual is distinct and unique and we do not believe that there is a one size fits all. We do believe that each person needs to look within themselves to ascertain if they are ready or need to detoxify themselves at their current place in their life.
